This Web Site is dedicated in Honor and Memory of Joseph M. D'Angelico from Fort Edward, New York. He was assigned to the Americal Division, 11th Light Infantry Brigade, Company "B", 4/3, 1st platoon, 2nd Squad as a Infantryman, Radio Telephone Operator ( RTO ).

He was Killed in Action near the village of Duc Pho on Hill 285 (Maps of Hill 285), Republic of South Vietnam on 02 Jan 1970 in one of the first fire fights of the new year. Additionally, Joey's story provides access to field reports, notes and other documents from the National Archives in Washington DC. Vietnam was such a small part of Joey's life, 3 short months that has affected his family and friends for over 30 years.

	His decorations and awards include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medals and the Combat Infantry Badge.

Remembrances have been left for and about Joey. They include photos and written remembrances from family, friends and Special readings have been left by me. Family members at various Vietnam Veteran Memorials, including his Mom at the Adirondack Vietnam Memorial Dedication in 1985 and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington DC. She has attended the Adirondack Vietnam Memorial every Memorial Day since 1985.
